what a difference a spray makes...

while my life-sized simian friend may not be to your taste, you have to admit, she looks much better with a judicious coat of spray paint. we LOVES us some black or white spray paint here at teh atelier (particularly rustoleum spray lacquer, though we used a regular spray paint here as we wanted a matte finish). we've sprayed so many things b & w over the years, our motto is  now "when in doubt, spray it out"

a reminder of her before look, just in case you think i'm crazy to think she looks good at all...

whaddya think? better? or still the stuff of nightmares? ;-)

addendum:  this fast n easy spray solution got posted over on apartment therapy, and i have to say, even when hating something, my readers are a lovely bunch of people; the commenters over at AT, weren't quite as kind...  ;-)

Sweet Mary of Jesus. I can see myself coming around the corner with a late night cocktail seeing that, scaring myself halfway to next Thursday and whacking it's head off with a sword. Yes, I always have a sword nearby. You decorate your way, and I'll decorate mine.

Never been a fan of the monkey - but I have to admit the white paint is an improvement!

I'd opt for a shiny red paint. It's already over-the-top, and emphasizing the obvious might be quite striking against your gorgeous screen.
