Forget all the decorating stuff, animals are the most important thing you can bring into your home (hair, mystery stains, smells and all)! They are beautiful! Thanks for sharing.

Aw, the kitty looks almost exactly like my dearly departed Suds, our grey Maine Coon that disappeared into the woods last year, not to be seen again (poor kitty)...

Great picture - and I love anonymous 1's comment!

No room is really complete without a dog or cat. Come to think of it, that belief has dominated my upholstery decisions all of my adult life.

Oh my.....how loved these kids are.....look at their expressions of casual confidence. I tried to take pics of my three grandsons this weekend and all I got were blurred heads and hands on crotches. Joys of boys. Your crew is so very civilized. Ginny

Oh hi right back! I think you have about the cutest family ever. I think I'd let them get away with just about anything.

thanks for the nice comments, everyone. mona and richard are the lights of my life, and i don't know how i'd live without them!

yes, as several you you commented, it means compromise on a few decor decisions (no expensive fabric or bedding because of r's claws, and no carpets because someone else has developed some incontinence problems as she's aged), but it's a small price to pay for the joy and companionship our little ones provide us!

and to anon #1- that is obviously what they were hoping for! but alas, instead of a juicy pork chop, they had to settle for a few pets instead...

ginny- richard has much in common with your grandsons- his pictures usually consist of a gray blur as well!

billy d- i had never heard of a maine coon until someone came over to my house and remarked about what a beautiful coon i had. after much confusion, followed by some serious googling, richard indeed looks to have more than his share of maine coon blood. that would account for his monstrously large size, too!
