I heartily agree!!! I was shopping yesterday and saw Holiday stuff everywhere, with more being put out. Let's please be at least half way through November before the commercialism of a precious season rears it's ugly head!
Here here. When purchasing my favorite bags of Reese's cups for my one trick or treater, I spied a looming shelf full of Christmas lights at my CVS. Seriously!
hello gorg- mmmmm, mounds are my favorite! i always torture the trick or treaters by buying them, since i know i'll have leftovers to eat!
and yes, i'm known for bustin' out the holiday decor the minute the thnaksgiving turkey is is taken off the table, but it feels simultaneously waaaaaaay to early for christmas, and way too late- all those things i wanted to accomplish before the holidays? ain't going to happen. again.
mary- simple and gorgeous ALWAYS(though it can be a struggle- some years i *want* the disco ball on top of the tree ;-)
jessica- lets write some letters! 'cause you know- that would make the retailers wait- NOT! but sorry- 11/03 is too early for the whole tent, mr. ikea...
katie- i WOULD have done my ikea shopping if i had not driven all the way there without my freakin' wallet! damn you, early onset senility! (funnily, i remembered my camera so i could blog it, though).
lucinda- i got two groups this year! two! why is that? and i LOVE to see the little ones in their costumes... maybe my 'hood is too urban and their parents are scared of PCP spiked reeses pieces...
ivy- i am jealous. snow would put me in a holiday mood too! the fog we had this morning just didn't cut it...
I guess I'm old fashioned but I like to enjoy each holiday to the fullest before I move on to the next. I can't even think about Christmas until the day after Thanksgiving!

I went to the store to get candy for Halloween the day before and there were only Mounds bars left next to the Christmas candy.
Yes, too early even for me (and I am known for cracking out the Xmas tunes much too early...:-)
Although Cher doesn't have a Christmas album, does she?
Agree! Let's keep it simple and gorgeous this year. Thanks,

Oh it is going to come up quickly,
but this year I am hoping for a sense of simplicity!
One can dream, right??
