moving day!

yes, that's right, kids- we're moving!  our present digs are just too small, and frankly, not grand enough for such a important personage as moi-self.  so we've made an offer on a humble, yet tasteful, new abode in a little known nearby neighborhood by the name of  bel air.
the chateau d'or, which we will be renaming the chateau d'omg, because if ever there was a property that will make you exclaim "oh mah gah", it is this one...
the sellers were asking $39,995,000, but m21 being no dummy, recognized the priceless and exquisite antiques inside, so offered them an even 50 mil if they'd throw in all the furnishings- and they agreed!   suckahs!
see? a complete turnkey property.  we don't need to load anything into the m21 moving truck other than our clothes!

we plan on hosting many an intimate dinner here!
the builders of the chateau d'omg certainly spared no expense- look at this stunning kitchen designed by the premier cabinet-making firm of l'home d'epot!
how could one not have anything but 'suite' dreams in this elegantly appointed master?
well, we stated it was turn-key ready, but there is one change we'll have to make:
just a little minor repainting, and we can call the chateau d'omg our home!

all of you are invited to come visit!  and don't hesitate to bring your personal staff- we have the room!

Congratulations! It looks just like you! How lucky you are to have found it completely furnished and you can get rid of all your old plain things.

I am dying. I especially love the rug choice in the master bedroom. It really anchors the room.

Chateau de Hot Mess. God help us all.

Truly hideous, that is everything I dislike wrapped up in one massive house. Whoever decorated this abode the only taste they had was in their mouth. However the beautiful pics in the bedroom were awesome!!!

Lucky you to have found such a jewel. I did not know you were a minimalist though! You could have found something a little more ornate!

Love love your one small change in the master...gotta be a new trend! You may have to adjust your wardrobe so you aren't lost in the decor though...A great smile first thing in a Phuket day...

The theme song to Dynasty is floating through my head....but then instead of Crystal Carrington coming down the stairs, it turns out to be the Bride of Frankenstein dressed like Liberaci (sp?)....wait...I just woke up in a cold sweat!

Definitely think the repainting is a major improvement. Now what are we going to do about the teeny tiny rug in the master? You'd think they would have put something more substantial - at least then I wouldn't be so shocked at the asking price.
Congrats on the new chateau d'omg!

Christian, Congratulations on the new digs. The new fine art paintings over the bed do make it yours.I love the sense of scale.... I think the furniture could be salvaged for firewood once the paint/lacquer was stripped off.

Monsieur Maison, how did I ever forget to stop by your blog? Where else could I witness a piece de resistance like a trinity portrait headboard?

I am wondering if you put a bunch of hardworking girls out of work when you made this purchase?

I want to put the headboard picture of you, richard, and ted on a billboard across the street from kenneth bordewick's office.
