decorating porn 11/09

a client of mine once described 1stdibs as decorating porn. i thought that description was brilliant, because for design junkies like moi, it is indeed the stuff of which fantasies are made.

a couple of items i'm drooling over from this weeks new listings:



an italian brass bag, $1200, from benjamin stork in san francisco.

all things brass are one of my current obsessions so i'm loving this bag- perfect for magazines or wood by the fireplace.






a pair of black ceramic ram's head table lamps, $1800, from john salibello, one of my favorite places to shop in new york.
another obsession: animals. the maison21 atelier looks like a petting zoo sometimes.







a horn covered side table, in the style of karl springer, $1400, sultana, again, san francisco (hmmm, maybe i should take a road trip north?) love it- a timeless classic with wonderful proportions and an exotic twist.
